Interesting blogging today!!!
Blogger Justin Taylor today put up a posting on his blog Theologica about the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the partial birth abortion ban.
He included a link from the Drudge Report giving the responses of the top candidates running for President in 2008. Pretty much along party lines as one would expect but...
The part I did find very interesting though is Obama's official campaign site. He made his official statement, posted it in the community section and then let others blog about it on his official site. That's quite a risk!
And from the comments I have read most strongly disagree with his stance against the Supreme Courts decision. It seems that there are some liberal people who are sick of being liberal and having to support abortion.
That is good news to me. I pray that this issue can get out of Right Wing/Left Wing politics and back to the real issue, the murder of an human life.
Here is the rest of Justin's blog with the links to the candidates responses to today's ruling...
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled today on Gonzales v. Carhart, 05-380 and Gonzales v. Planned Parenthood, 05-1382, upholding a nationwide ban on partial-birth abortion. The Justices voted 5-4 to retain the ban. Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, John Paul Stevens, and David Souter dissented.Bloomberg: "The law, which has never taken effect, is the first federal abortion restriction since the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision established the constitutional right to end a pregnancy."Here are some articles from Stand to Reason about partial-birth abortion:

The Drudge Report has reactions from the presidential candidates:
Hillary: 'Erosion of our constitutional rights'...
Giuliani: 'I agree with it'...
Obama: 'I strongly disagree'...
Romney: 'A step forward'...
McCain: I'm very happy...
Edwards: 'I could not disagree more strongly'...
