Golfing or Spreading? Death or Life!

I am so helped by the Bible and people who challenge me to believe it. It is one thing to say you believe it, I know how to do that. It is another thing to really try and apply it, and live it. It is hard, not easy like many tv preachers would have you believe. It is denying oneself. This is for me most fought in relation to money, comfort, security...the stuff I want.

Speaking of Wartime lifestyle, which is what we as believers should be engaged in come a very helpful quote by Pastor John Piper that is backed up by oodles of texts speaking of money..."What is money for?... Money is given so that we use it to show that money is not our God, but that Christ is our God."
It shows your treasure! So how are you doing? I am doing poorly often in this area. I treasure electronics, food, movies, tv, and comfort much too often.
