Over 45,000 people have viewed "Why Did the Bridge Collapse" that DG put together since last Wednesday after the 35W bridge collapsed in Minneapolis. DG's offices are only a mile or so from this site and they were able to send their camera crews down to the scene to capture footage. YouTube rated this video as the #41 most viewed video of the last 4 days in the YouTube honors section.
There has been much lively discussion on the comment section of the YouTube video.
May this be a wake up call that life is so short, tomorrow is not guaranteed, bridges may collapse under us, floods may ravish us, but we have a God who even in this pain is a firm foundation and offers peace in and out of suffering.
May we not trust bridges and engineers to give us comfort and security as they never can, but turn to the only One who can.
