Fun Fair Facts!

We went to the MN State Fair this morning to hang out and eat, eat, eat. I have been craving the cheese curds for over a year. So have you ever wondered how much the vendors at the fair make?

Altogether the fair produces over $28,000,000 in revenue in only 12 days. Not too bad.

Sweet Martha's Cookies is the largest revenue producing vendor who last season produced $1,500,000 in the 12 day run.

(I thought I heard $3m in a different report but according KARE 11 the number is 1.5m, so I was wrong Dusty)

According to KARE 11 News the other top players breakout like this:
The dairy building is pulling in just over $600,000.

The cheese curd place in the food building rakes in more than $500,000.

The corn place better than $440,000 dollars.

Pork chops on a stick rake in a quarter of a million dollars.

There's the unrelated cheese curd place on Dan Patch that makes about $240,000

Giggles Campfire Grill brings in just over $200,000.

Not bad for 12 days of production.
The MN State Fair claims to be the largest State Fair in the US, though the Texas State Fair has a higher attendance it also runs over two times as long. The MN State Fair has the highest daily attendance of any State Fair in the nation.
Did you know the "all you can drink" dairy barn serves nearly 20,000 gallons in the 12 day run?

Tommy,

I appreciate the fact check. It was your careless use of facts that always drove me crazy after the revolution.
