The big news story here in the Twin Cities is about 3 newborns being dumped in the Mississippi River south of the metro over the last 8 years.
News broke today that two of the babies were from the same mother.
This is tragic and sad, yet shows the perverted ways we rationalize our societies sin.
Isn't it is quite ironic that up until a few moths ago when the Supreme Court banned partial birth abortion this mother could have hours earlier walked into Planned Parenthood, got an abortion and faced no legal action. The baby would most likely ended up thrown out with the trash.
A few hours later though if the mom gives birth, throws the newborn in the river she now will face homicide charges and is wanted by the police.
Where is the disconnect?
Maybe the church should be a place for unwanted babies and scared teenage moms. Maybe less would end up in dumpsters and rivers. Maybe would be good!
